i just transcribed the ‘block chord’ 12 bar solo – that Barney plays (twice) before returning to the main head of the song.

DRUM FEELS FOR STUDENTS

Although it’s great to use a metronome – I find playing a long with a happening drum part is much more interesting. I use these  ‘feels’ all the time in my teaching, to aid the students development in  scales – arpeggio’s – phrases – etc . I will add some more at a later date.
